A Missouri death row inmate is set to die today despite maintained his innocence

Marcellus Williams has maintained his innocence for nearly 24 years.. He is scheduled to be executed on Tuesday despite continuous efforts to vacate his conviction.. Williams, 55, was convicted of killing Felicia Gayle, a former newspaper reporter, in 1998.. Unless the US Supreme Court intervenes, he will be executed by lethal injection at 6 p.m. CT.
